The First “L” in LARRY: Learn
Use the Focusing Question from The ONE Thing book to help you determine what you need to learn:
“What’s the One Thing I can learn, such that by learning it, everything else will be easier or unnecessary?”
And/or, find a leak to plug. You can even just work on any “tough” spots you face.
Search the interwebs, find something to study (video, article, podcast, etc.).
Study it and take notes in your Poker Journal.
Figure out how to practice what you learned (create your own action steps).

Apply
Put yourself in situations where you can practice what you learned.
Even when you’re not involved, pay attention to the action. When the situation occurs for others, put yourself in their shoes and noodle on what you would do. This “noodling” is almost as good as being in the situation and reacting accordingly.
Review
Find hands in your database and review with the strategies you learned in mind.
Just filter in PokerTracker 4 for the situation and review 20-30 hands per study session.
Repeat
Repeat the first 3 parts of LARRY: Learn, Apply, Review. Do this with the same strategy if you need more work, or move on to another strategy/leak/tough spot.
Yer on yer way!
Improvement is guaranteed if you follow LARRY on your poker journey!
It’s a simple process, but it is difficult to do. Purposefully studying and playing is tough to do consistently, so GL!
